Beverly was born on July 19, 1959, in Brownwood, to Kenneth and Colline Nabers. She married David Reid on May 5, 1984. Beverly is survived by her Mom and Dad; Husband David Reid, their son Blake Reid and wife Robbyn of Tuscola; Brother Ken Nabers and wife Theresa of Blanket, sister Pam Cleveland and husband Johnny of Blanket, and sister Janna McBee and husband Johnny of San Angelo; Grandchildren Ava Reid (5) and Audrey Reid (3); Numerous nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by grandparents, Edward and Jessie Ruth Nabers, Sam and Cora Hunter, and James Chaney; Father-in-Law Preston Reid; and her dear nephew Colby Cleveland.
Beverly had over a 12-year career in real estate. She could often be spotted with her sister Pam, who the two together were known as the “Sister Team!” Beverly enjoyed meeting new people, showing houses, and exploring the occasional rough piece of undeveloped land. She was known for introducing the joy of owning a new home to many families!
Beverly was a devoted Wife, Mother and an avid Outdoorswoman. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and swimming in various creeks or swimming holes. Beverly could often be found playing Rummikub with her Mom and Dad! She also loved getting together with family at the annual “BIG” family gatherings; Anyone that knows the Nabers family, knows that the word “BIG” does not even begin to describe how many people you can fit into one room during their annual holiday festivities! Beverly’s voice could often be heard down the hall saying, “Let’s Eat!” Her pride and joy were her two granddaughters, Ava and Audrey; Beverly loved to paint, play dress-up and dolls, run up and down the creek banks on their family’s land, and the simplicity of just watching the girls play!
Beverly touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life! Even in her darkest days, she always looked up to her Lord and Savior; She found comfort in knowing that her salvation was secure in Him. Beverly will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. To know Beverly, was to love her!
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity contributing to beliefs close to Beverly’s heart; The Beverly Reid fund is set up at Prosperity Bank in Early.
