The City of Brownwood City Council will hold two Special Called Meetings this week, both for the purpose of Budget Workshops. Cities and counties are working on their budgets which go into effect October 1st.
The first meeting is Tuesday, July 18, at 5:00 pm at City Hall.
The Brownwood Council will hold a discussion regarding the proposed budget for 23-24 and, if available, receive the no-new-revenue and voter-approval tax rates.
The Council may take a record vote on the proposed tax rate if certified rolls and tax rates are available.
The second Special Called Meeting is Thursday, July 20th, at 4:00 pm at City Hall and the agenda is the same as the one for Tuesday.
