City of Brownwood crews will begin removing parts of the Coggin Park walking trail today (Monday, July 10) in preparation for the new cement trail.

Planned construction includes 2,700 linear feet of 8 foot-wide cement trail.

The project follows the 2023 Parks Master Plan as part of the park specific plan.

During this time of construction, the City of Brownwood is asking that visitors to Coggin Park use caution and avoid construction areas.

The new trail is scheduled to be completed by the end of September.
