23 true bills returned against 23 persons in June grand jury session

According to District Attorney Micheal Murray, during the June 2023 session of the Brown County Grand Jury, 23 true bills were returned against 23 persons.

Those indicted were:

  • Michael Anthony Rodriguez: Failure to register as a sex offender
  • Jeffrey Don Parks: Failure to register as a sex offender
  • Summer Dawn Hileman: Fraudulent use or possession of identifying information
  • Lance Lynn Robertson: Possession of a controlled substance
  • Jonathan Bond: Possession of a controlled substance
  • Hugh Carson Barr: Driving while intoxicated
  • Edward Salazar: Possession of a controlled substance, state jail felony enhancement
  • Jeffrey Scott Scarborough: Possession of a controlled substance
  • Sammy Lee Fulton: Possession of a controlled substance
  • Connor Lane Trapp: Felon in possession of a firearm
  • Nicholas Mayon: Credit card or debit card abuse
  • Larry Darnell Johnson: Assault family violence – occlusion, habitual offender
  • Kyle Anthony Pruett: Continuous sexual abuse
  • Michael Anthony Avalos: Aggravated sexual assault
  • Steven Lynn Navarro: Assault family violence – occlusion, repeat offender
  • Tyler Shaffer: Driving while intoxicated
  • Scott Ray King: Driving while intoxicated

The District Attorney’s Office does not release names on new indictments until after the Grand Jury proceedings have been processed through the District Clerk and a file marked copy of the Grand Jury Report has been returned.

The District Attorney’s Office does not release names of Defendants who have been indicted by a Grand Jury but not yet arrested because of an indictment being sealed until the time of arrest.  In addition, names of individuals who have had no formal charges filed against them and who are no-billed by a Grand Jury will not be released by the District Attorney’s Office at this time.
