Faye McIntyre

Etta Faylene (Faye) Ellett McIntyre moved from this life to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Per her wishes, a graveside service will be held at Eastlawn Memorial Park at 10:00AM on Wednesday, June 28. Arrangements are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early.

Faye was born April 11, 1940 in Early, to William Horace and Leona Mae (Harrington) Ellett. She was the youngest of five children. She graduated from Early High School in May, 1958. She married the love of her life, Max Edward McIntyre on May 9, 1958. Together they raised their children, helped to start several churches, were a part of the Downtown Bible Class radio program and co-chaired the local Toys for Tots program for several years.

From early childhood, Faye loved to sing, especially Southern Gospel music. She was part of “Maranatha”, a local Southern Gospel trio in the 70’s and early 80’s. She also sang on the Downtown Bible Class weekly radio program and at various local churches and nursing homes through the years. She was always willing to talk about the Bible to anyone who would listen.

Faye is survived by her children, Lori Perry and husband Danny of Early, and Lance McIntyre of Dripping Springs; grandchildren Doug Turner and wife Shannon of Early, and Kenzie McIntyre of San Marcos; great grandchildren Hayden Turner and wife Bri and Aaron Turner. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Max McIntyre; her parents; her brothers, Robert Rainey Ellett, Adrian Zane Ellett, Lester Ray Ellett and her sister Shirley Dean Ellett.

The family wishes to thank Solaris Hospice staff and CARE Nursing staff for their care and kindness.
