Eight members of the Brownwood Lady Lions softball squad earned all-district accolades from the softball coaches of 6-4A.
Receiving superlative accolades were Catcher of the Year Chloe Walls, a sophomore, and Newcomer of Year Kyleigh Caperton, a freshman shortstop.
Landing on the first team were third baseman Mia Lopez, center fielder Mackenzie Welch and pitcher Tynlea Wilson.
Second-team honors went to first baseman Cecilia Rodriguez, right fielder Peyton Pena, left fielder Jakayla Peek and second baseman Jeniffer Romero.
Making the academic all-district roster were Rodriguez, Welch, Peek, Walls, Wilson, Jazmine Rivas, Adriana Romero, Addison Welch, Mykaela Mendoza and Brenley Duncan.
The Lady Lions finished the second with a 12-15-1 overall record, finished third in District 6-4A and captured a bi-district championship under first-year head coach Cherita Munguia.
