10 Sentenced in Brown/Mills County District Court

According to District Attorney, Micheal Murray, the following felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Mike Smith, presiding.

Michael Lance Nestell pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to Six (6) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Charles Dewayne Spivey, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was revoked and sentenced to Six (6) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Julio Bernal, Jr., on probation for the felony offense of False Name, False Information and Forgery was revoked and sentenced to Six (6) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Further, Bernal, on probation for the state jail felony offense of False Statement to Obtain Property or Credit was revoked and sentenced to Twenty-four (24) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Amber Watson, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Robbery and was adjudicated and sentenced to Five (5) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Watson, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Unauthorized Use of Vehicle was adjudicated and sentenced to Twelve (12) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Landon Bankston, on probation for the felony offense of Evading Arrest with Vehicle was revoked and sentenced to Four (4) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

October Toby Salazar, on probation for the felony offense of Evading Arrest with Vehicle was revoked and sentenced to Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Salazar, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Burglary of a Building was revoked and
sentenced to Twenty-four (24) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Tasha Benavidez, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone was adjudicated and sentenced to Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice,
Institutional Division. Further, Benavidez, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession
of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and sentenced to Two (2) years, Texas Department of
Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Daniel Symonds pled guilty to the felony offense of Theft- Enhanced – Fire Exit and was sentenced to Seven Hundred Thirty Days (730) Days, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

David Justin Martin, on probation for the felony offense of Evading Arrest with Vehicle was revoked and sentenced to Two (2) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Kimberly Dawn Gilbert aka Kimberly Dawn Langley, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and sentenced to Twelve (12) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
