Thunderstorms have wreaked havoc over Brown County in recent days but the benefit of those storms is generous rainfall.
As of 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Lake Brownwood is 7 foot and 8 tenths below spillway, according to Brown County Water Improvement District General Manager John Allen. This past Friday the lake was at 9 foot and 2 tenths below spillway.
The lake is 62.7 percent full and continuing to rise, up from 57.8 percent full on Saturday, and the water level is 1,416.7 feet, an increase of 1.3 feet from 1,415.4 on Saturday.
Rain remains in the forecast for the rest of the week which chances of 60 percent and higher this weekend.
