Ronald Lee Westra, age 56, of Lohn, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in an accident near Brady, Texas.
Ronnie, as he was known to most, was born December 12, 1966, in Marysville, California to Leonard C. Westra, Sr. and Janice Kay (Cook) Westra. Ronnie grew up in Austin, Texas and graduated from Johnston High School in Austin. He attended Clarendon College in Clarendon, Texas where he earned his associate degree in science. He served in the US Marine Corps and was a lay minister. He attended the Lohn Church of Christ. He worked on the family ranch. He was a talented artist and created many items out of wood and metal. He enjoyed drawing from sight, gardening, fishing, archery, and hunting, especially hunting wild hogs. He had a passion for bicycling. It was common for him to ride 50 to 60 miles a day.

Ronnie is survived by his parents, Leonard and Janice Westra of Lohn, Texas; daughter Bridgett Spiller Ollmann of Cedar Park, Texas; brother Leonard Westra, Jr. of Round Rock, Texas; sisters Christine A. Ward of Montague, Michigan and Kathlene Manning of Milton, Florida.
