Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm, Brookesmith FFA Alumni met at Section Hand restaurant to eat some good food, enjoy a little fellowship and conduct some necessary business.
The 15 members gathered reviewed the results of the club’s recent fundraiser in partnership with Potter’s Pizza. The event was a blowout success. Members voted to do it again next year.
The big business of the evening was the election of new officers. Former President Laurie Miller declined to run again. Ned Jennings, Brookesmith resident, rose to leadership as the new President. Vice-President Bob Contreras retained his position. Secretary-Treasurer Cheryl Crawford declined to run for reelection and was succeeded by Barbara Jennings as Secretary. Jennifer Barrow was elected as the new Treasurer, and Eloise Salazar was elected to the new office of Committee Chair of Fundraising.
The group will meet again after the summer break.
