Friends and colleagues joined Ms. Jennifer Barrow in celebration Wednesday as she marked the completion of  the Texas aligned Comprehensive School Counseling Program. Ms. Barrow has served at Brookesmith ISD since January 2018,  most recently as a school counselor intern.

On May 12, 2023, Ms. Barrow will participate in the Angelo State University spring commencement ceremony, where she will be awarded the degree of  Master of Science in Professional School Counseling. Ms. Barrow passed the state examination for Professional School Counselor last summer. She will serve as the Brookesmith School Counselor next year.

Education Service Center Region 15 luminaries Dr. Lesley Casarez (ESC/Specialist in Counseling and Mental Health) and and Gregory Hickey (ESC Mental Health Specialist) joined in the festivities and presented Ms. Barrow with a beautiful stole embroidered with STUDENT MENTAL HEALTH PARTNER on one side and HELP COUNSELOR on the other.

Brookesmith Superintendent Steve Mickelson, who served as the site supervisor for the Comprehensive School Counseling Program, was also on hand to mark the occasion. (shown in photo)
