Evelyn Mae Potter-Parker, age 76 of Cross Plains, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Cross Plains, Texas with Kerry Mann officiating. A burial will follow after the service at Cross Plains Memorial Park in Cross Plains, Texas.

Mae was born on March 24, 1947 in Cross Plains, Texas to the late Walter Skeet Potter and Estalee Corene Pittman-Potter. Mae married Steve Parker on June 19, 1965 in Cross Plains, Texas. Spending time with family was what Mae loved the most. She enjoyed playing 42, poker, Wii golf or just sitting around visiting. She loved painting, gardening, and sitting out by her Koi Pond. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and love the Lord with all her heart. She was never shy about witnessing to others and telling of her blessings. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Skeet Potter and Estalee Corene Pittman-Potter; brother, Tom Potter; grandson, Eric Olvera.

Mae is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Steve Parker of Cross Plains, Texas; sons, David Parker and his wife, Bethany of Cross Plains, Texas; Skeet Parker and his wife, Shannon of Cross Plains, Texas; Jeff Parker and his wife, Cindy of Cross Plains, Texas; daughters, Delilah Fournier and her husband, Rusty of Sweetwater, Texas; Content Goble of Cross Plains, Texas; 7 grandchildren, Sahara Parker, Amber Parker, Summer Olvera, Harmony Goble, Sydney Goble, Taylor Parker and Wyatt Parker; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Rick Potter of Cross Plains, Texas; sisters, Linda Slaymaker of Cross Plains, Texas; Sharon Gage and her husband, Tony of Clyde, Texas; Debbie Gosnell and her husband, Don of Cross Plains, Texas; Tonjia Foster and husband, Hoyt of Abilene, Texas; Teresa Kennedy and husband, Todd of Cross Plains, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
