Brownwood City Council Sets Agenda for Tuesday Meeting

The City of Brownwood City Council will be in session Tuesday, April 11, at 9:00 am at City Hall in the Council Meeting Room. The agenda is below.

6. Citizen Presentations
Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

9. Consent Agenda
A. Consider an ordinance on second and third/final reading to repeal the ordinance that created the Martin & Frances Lehnis Transportation Museum Advisory Board.
B. Consider authorizing a change order as approved by the City Manager for construction at the Senior Citizens Center.
C. Authorize the City Manager to sign an agreement and any subsequent addendums, amendments, and acceptance of additional funds during the term of the grant contract on behalf of Brownwood/Brown County Health Department with Texas Department of State Health Services to continue providing Public Health Emergency Preparedness services to our community.
D. Authorize the City Manager to sign an agreement and any subsequent addendums, amendments, and acceptance of additional funds during the term of the grant contract and the addition funding for the Public Health Infrastructure Grant (HHSOO 1309900001 ).

10. Executive Session
The City Council may convene into a closed executive session in the Haynes Conference Room, pursuant to the provisions of the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Government Code Vernon’s Annotated, in accordance with the authority contained in the following section:
Section 551.071 – Consultation with Attorney
A. Agreement with Brown County for the renovation and use of 305 Booker.

B. Possible acquisition of real property.

11. Action as a result of the Executive Session
Council may take any action necessary as a result of the Executive Session.
A. Council may authorize the City to go out to bid for renovation of 305 Booker for use of the Brownwood – Brown County Health Department.
12. Council may tour the Landfill to see the progress of the expansion.
