SOFTBALL

The District 8-3A front-running and 11th-ranked Early Lady Horns softball team began the second half of league competition the same way as the first – with a lopsided victory over Eastland.

Early improved to 21-3-2 overall and 8-0 in league play with a 22-4 road triumph Friday over the Lady Mavs.

The Lady Horns host Dublin at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

BASEBALL

The Early Longhorns pushed their District 8-3A win streak to five games with a 15-4 road triumph over the Eastland Maverick Friday.  The Longhorns finished with nine hits, four walks and Eastland committed eight errors.

The Longhorns host Dublin at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
