Jerry Lee Petty, 89 of Brady, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in San Saba.

He was born August 28, 1933 in Brady, Texas to Samuel D. Petty and Lilly (Faught) Petty. He married Bobbye Jean Bolinger on September 11, 1954, in Richland Springs. He owned and operated the upholstery shop, Petty Seat Covers, for many years. In 1972 he moved full-time into construction, building metal buildings and barns. He also farmed and raised cattle.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 31, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady.

Funeral service will be Saturday, April 1, at 2:00 pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels with interment at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady.

Survivors:
Sons – Keith Petty of Elm Grove, Texas and Brian Petty of Brady, Texas
Grandchildren – Kadee Petty, Lindsey Barker, Kyanne Jones and Grayson Petty
Several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bobbye, 1 brother and 1 sister
