Mills County – Beginning Monday, March 27th, FM 574 at the Pecan Bayou Bridge will be temporarily closed to through traffic to facilitate construction of the new bridge at that location. This closure is anticipated to last four days.
Motorists should plan ahead and use the following detour route:
- If traveling east on FM 574, take FM 573 to Mullin, then turn south on US 183 to Goldthwaite.
- Those needing to travel west on FM 574 should take US 183 N to Mullin, then turn west on FM 573 to return to FM 574.
