Homero Duque, Sr., 77 of Melvin, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 in Melvin.

He was born December 12, 1945 in Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico to Benancio L. Duque and Elisa (Fernandez) Duque. He married Rosantina Flores on October 8, 1974 in Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico. He was affiliated with St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Melvin and was a ranch hand.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with the Holy Rosary recited a 7:00 pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 28, at 10:30 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Melvin with Father Terry Brenon officiating. Interment will be in the Melvin Cemetery.

Survivors include:
Wife – Rosantina Duque of Melvin
Sons – Homero Guadalupe Duque, Jr. of Melvin; Nolberto F. Duque of Melvin and Roel Daniel Duque of Melvin.
Daughters – Eulalia F. “Loli” Duque of Melvin; Marie Magdalena Duque of Melvin.
Grandchildren – Justicxe Michele Duque and Nathan L. Duque
Numerous nieces and nephews.
