Raymond Lendle Bible was born August 13, 1932 in Trickham, Texas.  Lynn lived on this earth over 90 years.  He was a hardworking man who believed in making a living & providing for his family.  He went to school at Buffalo.  He learned about hard work at an early age when he picked cotton with his family.  Probably did a lot of other jobs as he got into his teen years.  He was about 19 years old when he married Reba Willborn on August 18, 1951.  They had three children, Linda, Ray and Jerry.  He worked at the Texas Brick Plant for about twenty-eight years and then went to Kohler Co. for another twenty years before retiring in 1998.  He always liked staying busy whether working or just being at home.  One of his favorite hobbies were raising game chickens with which he and his son, Jerry won many trophies.  He also enjoyed raising cattle.

Lynn had tragedies happen in his life as everyone does.  He and Reba went through a tragedy in January, 1966 when his brother and her sister, Earl and Mildred Bible and their little daughter, Karen Kay were killed in a car accident.  Lynn and Reba had to go through all of that and were also facing what to do about the other three children, Lanette (Sherry), Bubby (Otis) and Earlene who were left without their parents.  Of course, we were all close being raised as brothers and sisters, with aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmothers and grandfathers, and it was the “60’s”.  Lynn and Reba decided they would take in the three bonus children and raise them with their three children.  As the years went by there have been a lot of other loved ones pass away.  Lynn and our family faced the tragedy of losing his wife and our mother Reba to cancer on December 15, 1981; also, we lost our brother, Ray Bible Sr. to cancer on December 24, 2016 (one of the six children).

Lynn married Phyllis Senkirik on October 10, 2009 and they have been married thirteen years.  Lynn and Phyllis enjoyed going to the Senior Citizen dances and musicals.  He loved playing his guitar and singing.  Phyllis’s children are, Rita Reagan, Cindy McCoy, Bryan Senkirik and Craig Senkirik.  They have all been there for Lynn and Phyllis over the years.

Lynn is survived by his wife Phyllis; daughter Linda Henson and husband Melvin; daughter-in-law Joy Bible; son Jerry Bible and wife Eva; Sherry Fulcher and husband Billy; Otis Bible and wife Lisa, Earlene Teague and husband Duane; There are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, numerous other family members, nieces and nephews.
