Sentences handed down to six in district court

The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release regarding felony cases recently heard in 35th District Court by Judge Mike Smith.

  • Tony Scott Earp pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • William Chandler pled guilty to the felony offense of Evading Arrest with a Vehicle and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Luis Esteban Rivera, on probation for the felony offense of Assault Against Pregnant Woman, was adjudicated and sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Joaquin Pesina III, on probation for the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated, was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Wendy Marie Rose pled guilty to the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Rose pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Stanton Leigh Fanning pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Evading Arrest with Prior Convictions and was sentenced to 8 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
