Brownwood ISD has announced an exciting new summer learning experience for current Brownwood PK-5th grade students. Camp Adventure: Roar on the Shore will feature fun enrichment activities, along with opportunities to dig deeper into academic subjects and field trips designed to give children a summer to remember.
Camp Adventure: Roar on the Shore is a no-cost program and will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday from June 8th through July 27th (off the week of July 4th). Participating students will receive free meals, transportation, and access to their favorite teachers and other Brownwood ISD staff.
“Using these additional days will allow students and staff to work together in unique ways without some of the constraints a typical school day brings,” said Brownwood ISD Superintendent Dr. Joe Young. “Students can explore their strengths by engaging in new activities, field trips, and enrichment experiences.”
Roar on the Shore activities and enrichment will incorporate BISD athletics summer camps and includes partnerships with Kohler (robotics), the County Extension Office, Home Depot, Martin & Frances Lehnis Railroad Museum, Southwest Dairy, Camp Bowie Family Aquatic Center, Southwest Foodservice Excellence, and Texas Rural Student Transportation.
