The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Brown and several neighboring counties – San Saba, McCulloch, Coleman and Callahan – for this coming Thursday, March 2nd.

A Fire Weather Watch means that there is the potential for critical fire weather conditions.

Strong west wind of 25 to 40 mph is expected on Thursday, along with humidity levels between 12 and 20 percent.

Any fire that ignite will spread rapidly so any outdoor activity that could result in flames or sparks is discouraged on Thursday.
