At a meeting Tuesday of the Brown County Elections Commission, Brenda Arp was named new Administrator of the Brown County Elections Office.  Current Administrator Larry Franks, who has served in that position since 2008, announced his resignation and retirement effective March 31.  Arp has been Assistant Elections Administrator since 2019, and will assume her new duties on April 1.

The Elections Commission is composed of County Judge Shane Britton, County Clerk Sharon Ferguson, County Tax Assessor-Collector Christine Pentecost, Democratic Party County Chairman Mike Bullard, and Republican Party County Chairman Robert Porter.
