Katherine Jane “Kathy” Morris, 79, of Gustine, passed peacefully, in her home, from this life February 14, 2023.

The family chose Heartland Funeral and Cremation Services of Comanche to help them honor her life in a graveside service 1:30 p.m. Saturday February 18, 2023, at the Siloam Cemetery in Gustine.  Chaplain Paula Harris of the Solaris Hospice will Officiate. Katherine Jane was born in Oklahoma on October 13, 1943, to Walter and Thelma (Nelson) Barnes. She married Walter Eugene Morris February 6, 1975, in Durant, OK. She was the “love of his life” and Gene gives thanks to God for all of these wonderful years they shared. Kathy loved the “girls” and gave thanks to the nursing staff of Solaris Hospice for the care given to her. Kathy was interested in everyone knowing about Jesus and for them to be sure of their salvation.

Kathy is survived by husband of 46 years, Gene Morris; daughters, Tamara Farling and family, Ross Lampkin family and daughter Darla, Brenda James and family; sons, Camaren Gaines and family, Jimmy Morris and family, Darrell Lynn Morris and family; sisters, Mr. & Mrs. D. L Carter, Mr. & Mrs. Ronnie Nelson. She was preceded in death by father, Walter Barnes and mother, Thelma Nelson.
