LAMPASAS COUNTY – The Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) contractor will be hydro blasting the road surface of FM 580 W in Lampasas County this week. This work began on Monday, Feb. 6, and will continue on Thursday, Feb. 9, after crews encountered a weather delay Tuesday. The hydro blasting will last approximately six days. Crews will work Thursday through Saturday and then again on Monday through Wednesday.

Hydro blasting is a cost-effective option for cleaning the road surface to create better traction for motorists.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane while work is being performed. Motorists should expect delays. Flaggers and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone. Please use caution, slow your speed, avoid distractions, and watch for crews when driving in this location.
