Larry Don Sockwell, 71, passed from this life on Jan 31, 2023, after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Larry was a veteran. He served in the US Navy for eight years. The Navy played a big role in his life. His favorite pastime was playing golf with his daughter Mia and sons Steven and Michael. He was an Oakland Raider fan, which didn’t go over very well in a family full of Dallas Cowboy fans. Larry was kind, patient, very even tempered and will be missed. We are thankful for our time together.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Maurine Sockwell.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Delia Sockwell, his brother Lynn Sockwell and wife Deborah, his sons, Michael Sockwell and wife Kelly, Steven Sockwell and wife Lisa, his daughters Sylvia Pope and husband Ray, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Lopez, Mia Lopez and daughter in law April, his grandsons, Gavin Johnston, Aquilas Lopez and Kai Lopez that he raised as his own, and grandsons Mason Sockwell, Bryndon Bush, Clayton Suarez, and Dakota Sockwell, granddaughters, Chelsea Pope, Analiese Martinez, Adi Martinez, Kylie Ibarra, Amber Ibarra, Alexandria Sanchez, Alexis Villareal, and one great grandson, Ezrah Garcia.
