The following statement was provided by Hendrick Health:

Effective Jan. 23, Hendrick Health will relax its PPE/masking and screening internal policies in its hospitals and outpatient healthcare settings.

For two consecutive weeks, we have seen the number of cases decrease in our community and our hospitals and ICUs. Taylor County has been considered low risk for COVID-19 community transmission by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Hendrick Health employees and healthcare providers who are actively interacting or taking care of patients will not be required to wear a mask/PPE.
