Today, Wednesday January 18, is the first day for candidates interested in running for City Council to file for election in their respective towns.
Here in Brownwood, incumbent City Councilman Ed McMillian filed for re-election to Ward 2 this morning at City Hall.
The deadline to file for public office is February 17th.
