Sue Cullins, age 70, of Coleman, died Friday, January 13, 2023, at Coleman County Medical Center.
Her family will host a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street in Coleman. The service will start at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel with Brother Jeff Dean, pastor of North Coleman Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home.
Sue was born on March 11, 1952, in Coleman, a daughter of Ross and Juanita Dobbins. She grew up in Coleman County and attended school at Talpa-Centennial, graduating in 1970. She attended Angelo State University for a short time. On April 15, 2003, she married Charley Cullins in Coleman. Most of her life, Sue had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom for her two daughters and a homemaker. For the past several years she worked part-time keeping books for her sister-in-law, Bonnie Hennig. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Mark Jacob Padgett; two brothers, Billy Jack Dobbins, and David Ross Dobbins; a sister, Vickie Dobbins Anderson.
Survivors include her husband, Charley Cullins of Coleman; two daughters, Lauren Padgett and husband, William Overshiner, of Miami, Texas, and Kim Allen of Spring; grandson, Shawn Lee Padgett and wife Natalie of San Antonio; sister, Gail Downs of Granbury; brother, Mark Dobbins of Montgomery; a niece who was raised as her sister, Helen Godwin and husband Mike of Wichita Falls; a nephew who was raised as her brother, Duane Dobbins of Coleman; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Mark Dobbins, Duane Dobbins, Rick Downs, Les Dobbins, Adam Dobbins, Wes Myler and Robert Baxter.
