Carolyn “Cary” Sue May, age 56, of Brownwood passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene.

Celebration of Life for Cary will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Grosvenor Baptist Church with David Barnum officiating; private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Cary was born on January 11, 1966, in Phoenix, AZ, the daughter of Carol Jackson May and Sue (Macon) May. She was a member of Grosvenor Baptist Church, where she worked in the Children’s Ministry for a number of years.

She loved listening to music, playing games whether it was board games or going to the casinos, and doing puzzles. She loved drawing, especially The Tree of Life.

Cary is survived by her father, Carol May of Salt Lake City, UT; 3 brothers, Scott May and wife Denise of Pueblo, CO, Macon May and wife Barbara of Lake Elsinore, CA, and Keith May of Kerrville, TX; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved friends, Delia Fuentes and Debbie Johnson. She is also survived by her 2 cats, Sugar and Elsa, as well as several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sue May.
