Dennis Doyle Carlisle, age 60, of Brownwood passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood.

Funeral services for Dennis will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Allen officiating; burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Dennis was born on January 15, 1962, to Irvin Doyle and Annie (Moore) Carlisle in Dallas. After graduating from Brownwood High School, he went into the United States Air Force.

Dennis was a member of Milton Ave. Baptist Church. He enjoyed his small Bible study group at the nursing home. Dennis had such a giving and kind heart. He loved helping anyone he could.

Dennis survived by his brother, Gayland Carlisle and wife Luisa of Maryland; sister, Christine Pentecost and husband Ellis of Brownwood; 4 nieces and nephews, Adrian Martin and wife Melanie, Amy Jordan and husband Chase, Casey Pentecost and wife Rachel, and Noah Carlisle; 8 great-nieces and nephews. He also survived by his Songbird Lodge family, along with several other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Annie Carlisle; and several aunts and uncles.
