The Brownwood City Council will meet Tuesday, January 10, at 9:00 am at City Hall Council Chambers. See the agenda below.

6. Citizen Presentations
Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

9. Requests and Presentations
A. Consider approving the purchase of 14 water meter vaults for the Trafalgar Indian Creek Townhomes, Phase II project totaling $42,200 which will be purchased from Meter Nest, Alvarado, Texas.
10. Ordinances and Resolutions
A. Consider a resolution amending the City of Brownwood Investment Policy.
B. Consider a resolution approving and adopting the Parks Master Plan that was completed by Halff Associates.

11. Agreements and Contracts
A. Consider authorizing the City Manager to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Brownwood and Keep Brownwood Beautiful.
B. Consider authorizing the City Manager to sign an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) for office space at Fire Station # 1.

12. Appointments
A. Council may consider ratification of a Mayoral appointment to the Parks and Recreation Board.

B. The City will be closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 16, 2023. The annual MKL Celebration will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Cecil Holman Park.

14. Executive Session
The City Council may convene into a closed executive session in the Haynes Conference Room, pursuant to the provisions of the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 5 51, Government Code Vernon’s Annotated, in accordance with the authority contained in the following section:
Section 551.071 – Consultation with Attorney
A. Acquisition of real property located at 305 Booker from Texas State Technical College (TSTC).

15. Action as a result of the Executive Session

A. Council may approve a contract to acquire real property located at 305 Booker from TSTC.
