Several Sentenced in Brown/Mills County District Court

According to District Attorney Micheal Murray, felony cases were  recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Mike Smith, presiding.

Edward Lloye Wells, pled guilty to the felony offense of Sexual Assault of a Child and was sentenced to Forty ( 40) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Wells, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Twenty (20) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division and Wells pled guilty to the felony offense of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and was sentenced to Ten (10) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Johnny Austin Watson, pled guilty to the felony offense of Stalking and was sentenced to Eight (8) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Watson, on probation for the felony offense of Escape While in Custody was adjudicated and sentenced to Eight (8) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jessica Medcalf  pled guilty to the felony offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to Eight (8) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jason Daniel Toner, pled guilty to two separate felony offenses of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to Seven (7) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

William Dwayne Covington, on probation for the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence was revoked and sentenced to Six (6) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Matthew Wright, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Five (5) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Bobby Williams, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation was adjudicated and sentenced to Five (5) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Eve O’Neil O’Connor, pled guilty to the felony offense of Injury to Disabled Individual and was sentenced to Two (2) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, O’Connor on probation for two separate state jail felony offenses of Theft-Enhanced was revoked and sentenced to Twelve (12) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
