Robert Bara, age 59, of Ft. Worth, Texas passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at his home in Ft. Worth.

Robert was born June 27, 1963 in Brady, Texas to Severo Bara, Sr. and Angelina (Hernandez) Bara.  Robert grew up in Brady and moved to Ft. Worth in 2006.  He worked as an electrician for many years.  He was a good man.  He was jolly, full of fun and the life of the party.  He was always ready to help anybody who needed it.  He was a Cowboys fan, a youth sports coach and the best Grandpa and Dad.  He loved fishing, hunting and off-roading.  He was a Catholic and a member of St. Patrick Cathedral in Ft. Worth.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Bara will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, January 7, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady with Father Terry Brenon officiating.  Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady.

Robert is survived by sons Robert Jordan Bara and wife Miranda of San Angelo and Jeremy Bara and; daughters Reedi Sloan Bara of Eden and Cassandra Veasey Bara of Brady; brothers Richard Bara, Joe Bara, and LeRoy Bara all of Brady and Victor Bara and wife Daniellia of Ft. Worth; sisters Tina Ortegon and husband Alfred of Eden, Mary Schmidt and husband Chris, Delores Bara, Diana Campos, Janet Ramos and husband Ralph all of Ft. Worth, Joann Garcia of Brady, Jel Corbin and husband Garvy of Ft. Worth and Susie Bara of Arlington; grandson Karson Bara and many nieces and nephews that he loved so much.  Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brother Severo Bara, Jr., sister Sarah Hernandez, niece Christina Garza, nephew Sylvester “Nuni” Solis and  sisters-in-law Janie Bara and Sally Bara.
