We are in Mandatory water restrictions, Stage 2 of our Drought Contingency Plan. As of Tuesday, Lake Brownwood was at 61.7 % capacity, one week ago, at 61.8% capacity, one month ago, Lake Brownwood was at 62.5% capacity and one year ago, Lake Brownwood was at 92.2% capacity. Statewide All Lakes 71.4 % Capacity
BCWID#1 is asking all customers to be mindful of wasting water.
Stage 2: Moderate Drought Condition begins when Lake Brownwood hit 8 ‘ below spillway.
BCWID#1 suggests to its customers not already doing so to restrict water from outdoor sprinkling, watering lawns, shrubs, driveways and washing of automobiles to twice per week. The District will also suggest that customers employ “time of day “ restrictions.
