Joe Doyle Evans, age 64, of Bangs, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022, in Abilene.

Graveside services for Joe will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 3, at Greenleaf Cemetery, with Ron Keener officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Joe was born on October 22, 1958, in Brownwood, to Henry L. Evans, Jr. and Helen (Callaway) Evans. He attended Brownwood ISD and graduated from TSTC as a master carpenter. Joe was a very strong Christian and was baptized at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church when he was a boy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Donna Evans of Bangs; his sister, Betty Young and husband Bill of Kingsland; and his niece, Katy and nephew, Brady. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to North Lake Community Church.
