Do you or someone you know need assistance during times of an emergency event? The Public Health Emergency Preparedness office at the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department has created a registry that provides local preparedness planners community information regarding the needs of the citizens of Brown County. When an emergency occurs, emergency response officials will use the information submitted by the public to guide emergency response priorities to target individuals that require assistance.

The following individuals should consider registering:

  • People with disabilities
  • People who are medically fragile
  • People with access and functional needs
  • People who have limited mobility
  • People who have communication barriers
  • People who require additional medical assistance during an emergency event
  • People who require transportation assistance
  • People who require personal care assistance

Registry forms can be accessed on the City of Brownwood website at https://www.brownwoodtexas.gov/616/Brown-County-Emergency-Assistance-Regist,  by calling the Public Health Emergency Preparedness office at 325-643-3793, by emailing a request to phpstaff@brownwoodtexas.gov, or by visiting the Health Department at 510 E.
