Leon Hasserodt, age 82, of Coleman, died Thursday, October 27, 2022, at his residence.

The family will host a time of visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.

Family and friends are invited to a funeral service following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. A private interment will be in the Santa Anna Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

He was born Leon Curtis Hasserodt on October 22, 1940, in Coleman County to Asa Edward Hasserodt and Selma Friedrich Hasserodt. He grew up in Coleman and attended school in Mozell. Leon married Ruby Nell Johnson in 1977 in Santa Anna at the Northside Baptist Church. He worked for Superior Cable for fourteen years. Leon loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed.

Preceding Leon in death are his parents, and one brother, John Edward Hasserodt.

He is survived his wife, Ruby Nell Hasserodt of Coleman; two daughters, Joy Storey and husband Gerald of Coleman, and Becky Wilkerson of Springtown; one stepdaughter, Jeannie Lusk and husband Layne of Chandler, Oklahoma; and two stepsons, Gerald Storey and Dough Storey and wife Vanessa of Goldthwaite; twenty-four grandchildren; and multiple great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested in memory of Leon to a charity of the donor’s choice.
