Big Turnout on Day Two of Early Voting

Early voting continued on a brisk pace Tuesday on the second day of voting.  Brown County Elections Administrator Larry Franks reported 734 early voters Tuesday, 34 more than day one and now a total of 1,434 votes cast in the first two days.

State races on the ballot include Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, Land Commissioner, Agriculture Commissioner, Railroad Commissioner, Supreme Court Justice Places 3, 5, and 9, and Criminal Court of Appeals Judge Places 5 and 6.

The only local race on the ballot is Brownwood ISD Board of Trustees Place 7 which features candidates Aristeo (A.R.) Cardenas, Justin Posey, Chelsey Flippin, Francie Clark and Neil Larremore.

All early voting will take place at the Elections Administration Office, located at 613 N. Fisk St., Suite 200 in Brownwood.

Early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Through Friday, Oct. 28; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31-Wednesday, Nov. 2; and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3- Friday, Nov. 4.
