Lake Brownwood is steadily inching closer and closer to Stage 2 Moderate Drought Restrictions but it’s not there quite yet.
As of 8:30 am Tuesday, October 11, Lake Brownwood was at 7 feet and 7 tenths below spillway.
The Brown County Water Improvement District #1 reminds everyone that we are still in voluntary water restrictions, Stage 1 of the Drought Contingency Plan.
Stage 2: Moderate Drought Condition begins when Lake Brownwood hits 8 feet below spillway.
Lake Brownwood was at 63.5 % capacity as of Tuesday morning.
One month ago, Lake Brownwood was at 66.9% capacity.
One year ago, Lake Brownwood was at 97.0% capacity.
