This month’s spotlight teacher is Jennifer Angel (photo left). Ms. Angel is a Special Education teacher at Coggin Elementary School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Grand Canyon University and is a state certified teacher (EC-6). Ms. Angel has been with Brownwood ISD since 2020.

Ms. Angel always makes sure the Life Skills employees are well taken care of so that the team can provide more for our students. She is one of the best teachers and always does more than she is asked to do. She is very knowledgeable and is a great listener. Ms. Angel also serves as a Mentor Teacher and is helpful every step of the way. She is the glue that holds our Life Academics together.  Brownwood ISD is grateful to have teachers like Ms. Angel, who go above and beyond to support our students, teachers, and district by lifting up those around her and strengthening our team.

The staff spotlight honoree for the month is Ashley Pinkston (photo right). Ms. Pinkston is an office clerk at Coggin Elementary School. She is a Brownwood High School graduate, and participated in cheerleading, basketball and volleyball. She worked at Best Med Pharmacy before coming to Coggin in 2019.
Ms. Pinkston is willing to work overtime and even on weekends, with or without being asked, to make her campus look great for the beginning of school. She is organized, friendly, and uses professional communication skills while on the phone or in person. New staff members are quick to report how supportive and helpful she is during their transition to the school. Visitors and staff look forward to seeing her smiling face as they enter the Coggin 6th grade building.

Brownwood ISD is thankful to have staff like Ms. Pinkston who go the extra mile to keep their campus welcoming, organized, and prepared for visitors, staff, and students.
