Yolinda Weston, age 61, of Gouldbusk, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2022, in the Rockwood Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
Yolinda Ann Weston was born August 23, 1961, in Alaska to Joseph W. Weston and Nancy Cecil Holder Weston. With her father being in the military, Yolinda lived many places growing up. The family then settled in Springtown, Texas and Yolinda graduated from Bridgeport High School. Yolinda was an artist and enjoyed sharing her beautiful creations. Her talents ranged from painting, leatherwork, and making jewelry. Yolinda loved being outdoors and taking care of her livestock.
In 2008, Yolinda moved from Springtown to Coleman County. Her love of history and memorabilia led her to become the curator at Heritage Hall Coleman Museum. She enjoyed giving tours, talking about history, and making new friends. Yolinda was a faithful member of the Rockwood Baptist Church. She will be missed.
Preceding Yolinda in death are her parents, Joseph and Nancy Weston, and one sister, Joann Weston Hall.
She is survived by one sister, Dianna Porter and husband Mike of Decatur; one brother, Daniel Weston and wife Regina of Ecuador; her nieces and nephews, Michael Coffman, Richard Coffman, Victoria Weston, Samantha Weston, Zachary Weston, and Willem Porter; one aunt, Daisy Marie Jackson; and her brother-in-law, Kenneth Hall.
Memorials are requested in memory of Yolinda to the Heritage Hall Coleman Museum, 400 W. College Avenue, Coleman, Texas 76834.
