Patsy Elaine Routt, age 71, of Brady, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Shannon Hospital in San Angelo, Texas.
Patsy was born June 18, 1951 in Kerrville, Texas to Charles Hensley and Mary Louise (Shillings) Hensley. She was a Certified Nurses Aid and worked at the State Hospital in Kerrville for many years. She also worked at the local nursing homes and home health care providers for several years. She married Sammy Routt on December 15, 1995 in Brady. She has lived in Brady since 1989 and was a member of St. James Baptist Church in Brady. She enjoyed fishing, dancing, playing dominoes and listening to music. She loved her family gatherings and her dogs.
Funeral services for Patsy Routt will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 9, 2022 at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady with Reverend Morris Williams and Reverend Vernon Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels.

Patsy Routt is survived by her loving husband Sammy Routt of Brady; son Stanley Eugene Carson of Brady; daughters Kim Marie Godwin and husband Dennis of Atlanta, Texas and Kelly Michelle Clark and husband Jerry of Rosebud, Texas; brothers Douglas Gonzales and wife Kimberly of Washington, Michael Gonzales and wife Estella of Washington and Roger Lopez of Brady, Texas; sister Barbara Fry and husband Heath of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; grandchildren Virgil Hankins, Daniel Thomas Dell ‘Antonia, III and his wife Renata, Tray Wilson, Charles Taylor and wife Jesse Nicole, Hunter Godwin and Dylan Carson; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Richard Gonzales, Charles “Tiny” Hensley and David Hensley and an infant son.
