The Brownwood Community Choir, formerly University Singers, is set to begin rehearsals for the group’s 2022-2023 season on Monday, August 29. Rehearsals will be held weekly on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in room 503 of Howard Payne University’s Davidson Music Complex.
The choir is under the direction of Dr. Christopher Rosborough, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at HPU. The three concerts this season are HymnSing on October 23, Voices of Christmas on December 6 and the Spring Concert on April 20, 2023.
“The goal of the Brownwood Community Choir,” said Dr. Rosborough, “is to cultivate an ensemble of singers within the community who strive to offer a high level of artistry, while advocating for great choral music in Brownwood and its surrounding areas.”
