Jesse Jauregui, Jr., age 52, of Santa Anna, died Monday, August 8, 2022, at Hendrick Medical Center South in Abilene.
The family will host a time of visitation and reflection from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service celebrating his life at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022, at First Baptist Church, 201 S. Lee Street, in Santa Anna with Myra Lapinski officiating. Interment will follow in the Santa Anna Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.
He was born Jesse Graviel Jauregui, Jr. on August 15, 1969, in Coleman to Jesse Graviel Jauregui, Sr. and Consuelo Martinez Jauregui. Jesse grew up in Coleman where he attended school. He worked many years in the oil field and later worked for Kohler in Brownwood. Jesse owned and operated Chuy’s restaurant in Coleman for several years.
Jesse married Misty Bradley on September 16, 2020, in Brownwood. He enjoyed all genres of music, fishing, hunting, and BBQ. Jesse was an excellent softball player and even better pitcher for the team. He loved the competition and camaraderie amongst his teammates. Jesse loved his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed.
Preceding Jesse in death are his father, Jesse Graviel Jauregui, Sr.; one granddaughter, Faith Jauregui; one sister, Angie Jauregui; one nephew, Justin Jauregui; and his father-in-law, Dale Bradley.
He is survived by his wife, Misty Jauregui of Santa Anna; two children, Candace Ashley Davidson and husband Mitchell of San Marcos, and Jesse Graviel Jauregui, III and wife Areli of Brownwood; four step-children, Saydie Bradley and significant other, Jose Rodriguez of Brownwood, Karlee Bradley of Santa Anna, Jimmie Feaster of Santa Anna, and Robbie Ann Feaster of Santa Anna; 11 grandchildren, Noah Davidson, Jamie Davidson, Jackson Davidson, Nicole Davidson, Johnson Davidson, Alessandreo Jauregui, Jesse Graviel “Pookie” Jauregui, IV., Mateo Jauregui, Easton Jauregui, Remi Rodriguez, and Uriah “Bean” Rodriguez; one brother, Starsky Jauregui of Bangs; and two sisters, Myra Lapinski and husband Norman of Chicago, Illinois, and Bridget Jauregui of Coleman.
Pallbearers will be Jose Rodriguez, Sammie Ramirez, Phillip Hernandez, George Suarez, Juan Suarez, and Roddy Dean. Honorary pallbearers will be Rocky Whinery, Kevin Whinery, Robert Villegas, and Vicente “Chapo” Frausto.
