Commissioners to Hold Regular Meeting & Budget Workshop

Brown County Commissioners will hold a regular meeting Monday morning, August 1, in the Brown County Courthouse.  In addition to the meeting, a Budget Workshop will follow.

Among the agenda items for the 9:00 am meeting, they will revisit some items from last week’s agenda.

1. Declare a Quorum and Call Meeting to Order
2. Prayer-
3. Recognition of Special Guests and Presentations –
4. Citizen Comments (All speakers will be required to adhere to the rules of procedure, conduct and decorum adopted by the Court on August 12, 2019. Any disruptive, abusive, obscene, or disrespectful behavior will be terminated immediately.) All Presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit. Multiple person groups will be limited to one speaker.
5. Consideration and approval of the agenda minutes from the previous meeting (s).

6. Consideration and approval of any Treasurer’s/ Auditor’s Report.
7. Consideration and approval of all appropriate action regarding the following:

A. Honorable Joel Kelton, Commissioner Pct. 2 – Consideration and possible approval of action regarding bum ban.
B. Mr. Russell, Right of Passage/The Oaks- Consideration and possible approval of action regarding preliminary plan for unresolved issues on the buildings. (CJ)
C. Mr. Dion White, Centers for Life Resources- Consideration and possible approval of appointing Alan Shane Britton to the Board of Trustees for MHMR Oba Center for Life Resources Center. (Pct. I)
D. Don King, County Surveyor- Consideration and possible approval to resolve County Roads 532, 538 and Mt View Lane. (CJ)
E. Don King, County Surveyor- Consideration and possible approval to introduce the Veteran Land Board Rules and Regulations. (CJ)
F. Honorable Gary Worley, Commissioner Pct.2- Consideration and possible approval of Private line on CR 225 by Brooksmith SUD.
G. Honorable Joel Kelton, Commissioner Pct. 2 – Consideration and possible approval of action regarding equipment purchase.
H. Honorable Vance Hill, Sheriff- Consideration and possible approval of employee changes.

Notice is hereby given that the Commissioners’ Court of Brown County, Texas will hold a PUBLIC WORKSHOP on Monday, August 1st 2022 IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURT HEARING in the COMMISSIONERS’ COURTROOM, at the Brown County Courthouse, 200 South Broadway St., Brownwood Texas, 76801.

1. Discussion regarding the 2022-2023 Brown County budget and related issues.
