Beginning Thursday, July 28, the Texas Department of Transportation’s contractor will apply seal coat to several roads in Brown County.

On Friday, July 29, crews will begin working at 7 AM in two locations:

• Spur 586 (Fitzgerald) from FM 586 to US 67 in Bangs
• FM 3254 (Bluffdale) in Brownwood

Work will then move on approximately Saturday and again on Monday, to US 67, from US 84 in Early to the Comanche County Line.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead, please take an alternate route if possible or allow extra time to arrive at your destination, as various lane closures will occur. When driving near the work convoy, please use caution, slow your speed, avoid distractions, and obey warning signs.
