Larry Wiloth, 70, of Kansas, formerly of Coleman

Larry Wiloth, age 70, of Richmond, Kansas, and formerly of Coleman, died Saturday, July 2, 2022, at his residence.

Family and friends are invited to a funeral service with military honors at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman. A private interment will be in the Burkett Cemetery. Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022, and 8:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

He was born Larry Neal Wiloth on April 8, 1952, in Coleman to Max Wiloth and Ruby Nell Davis Wiloth Buford. Larry grew up in Coleman County and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He then became a truck driver for over 40 years. Larry drove a truck for many companies including Schneider National, Butler Trucking, Bilbo Trucking, Cargill Trucking, Evenson Trucking Company, and Jimmy Neff Trucking. Larry’s passion was volunteering for his family and community. He served as a volunteer firefighter in the communities of Tye, Merkel, Odessa, and Roane. Larry also became certified E.M.T. to help on the ambulance crew. Larry married Dawn Johnson on February 12, 2018, in Ottawa, Kansas. In his later years, Larry enjoyed crafting with leather.

Preceding Larry in death are his parents, Max Wiloth and Ruby Davis Buford, and one sister, Billie Jean McKenzie.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Wiloth of Richmond, Kansas; three children, William Neal Wiloth and wife Lee Ann of Southerlin, Oregon, Suzanne Smith and husband David of Mabank, Texas, and Terry Wiloth and wife Brandy of Mabank; his grandchildren, Alex Smith and wife Addison Rice, Savanna Smith and husband Jamaal Battles, Lucian Wiloth, Wyatt Wiloth, Zachary Wiloth, Zachary Wiloth, and Kiley Wiloth; his great-grandchildren, Penelope, Isaac, Everleigh, and Emersynn; his first wife and mother of his children, Cathy Wiloth of Merkel; and his siblings, Earl Meroney and wife Caroline of Brownwood, Charles McKenzie and wife Patsy of Coleman, Reba Turner of California, Vonda Beal of Brownwood, Lisabeth Libengood of Houston, Lora Bishop of Coleman, and William Buford of Santa Anna.

Pallbearers will be David Smith, Alex Smith, David Coates, Ronnie Scaff, Shawn Kannegieter, and Curtis Harris.
