The Storm Prediction Center has placed the KOXE listening area in a Marginal Risk for a few strong to severe thunderstorms this Saturday afternoon.

“The main hazards will be damaging downburst winds and frequent lightning but, due to slow movement of the storms, some locally heavy rain is possible too,” said Randy Turner, KOXE Meteorologist.

As temperatures once again soar past 100 degrees, be aware that storms could begin as early as 1:00 pm and remain active until early evening.
