The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls for service between Friday and Sunday.
On Friday, Deputy Chris Angel was dispatched to Donegal Drive in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation. The homeowner stated someone had broken into his residence and stole a .22 Caliber automatic long rifle. A report was taken and investigation underway.
On Saturday, June 25, at about 06:41 hours, Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Hendrick Medical Center in Brownwood in regards to an assault. Deputy Langley spoke to the victim who named the subject who had assaulted him.
On Sunday, June 26, at about 09:20 hours, Deputy Byron Langley arrived at County Road 103 in Brownwood in regards to Criminal Mischief. Deputy Langley spoke to a man who stated someone had shot his mailbox during the night.
On Sunday, June 26, at approximately 12:00 pm, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to the Hendrick Urgent Care in Brownwood in reference to an animal bite report and investigation. Deputy Burke met a male victim and his mother who advised the victim had been bitten by the family dog. The victim received stitches to a cut on his face.
On June 26, Sunday, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of Criminal Mischief on Waco Street in Brownwood. The caller advised a named subject threw a brick at her mother’s car. A report was made.
