Today, Saturday, May 28th, 2022, David Lester Price at 66 years, gave in to his long battle with cancer and is in pain no more.

He was born April 9, 1956, in Bakersfield, California, to Jerry Wayne and Ruby Arlene (Richardson) Price. He went to school in California, and they moved to Gravette Arkansas in 1971. After high school he worked and learned the trades of building, plumbing, and electrical.

He married Loretta Kaye Browning on October 12th, 1975, and they had 2 children, David Scott and Michelle Lynn.  He later met the love of his life, Deborah Gaye Blythe, and they were married on April 17th, 1979, in Rogers Arkansas. They raised 3 daughters, Leice Monique, Jennifer Lea, and Chelsea Arlene in the Lowell, Arkansas area.

David and his wife later relocated for his work to the Brownwood area in August2 006, as a Remodel Construction Manager for Wal-Mart Stores Corporate. After retiring he worked maintenance at Howard Payne University, drove for City and Rural Rides, maintenance at Kohler, Construction Manager for a new subdivision, Maintenance for Vicksburg Retirement Center, and Managed Stewart Street Storage while doing what he loved, remodeling and selling houses.

He attended Early Church of Christ, was a past officer of the Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club, and brought the Texas Ramp Project to this area through them.  He loved to work with his hands, building handicap ramps, working on landscaping, remodeling, old trucks, camping, riding motorcycles and cruising.   But most of all, he loved getting together with his family for Sunday dinners and cook outs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Deborah (Blythe) Price of Brownwood, 1 son-David Scott Price of Georgia, 4 daughters-Michelle Lynn (Joseph) Henson of Siloam Springs, AR , Leice Monique Price (James Sells) of Brownwood, Jennifer Lea Price of Brownwood, and Chelsea Arlene (Jeremy) Petras of Brownwood, 2 brothers, Robert Wayne Price of Bangs, TX and Darryl Craig Price of Lowell, AR ; 14 grandchildren: Colton Miles, Keifer Miles, Tyler Miles, Kaylee Riley, Harley Wilson, Mackenzie Wilson, Dakota Wilson, Christian Price, Caden Price, Caleigh Price, Colby Price,  Jordan Price, Khloe Cerda, Arabella Cerda, and Virginia (Jenny) Sells. 4 great-grandchildren, Olivia Miles, Braxton Miles, Ruby Rose Miles, and Dillon Miles.

David was preceded in death by his parents Jerry Wayne and Ruby Arlene Price and his maternal grandparents, Emmett Lester and Maggie Bell Richardson, and his paternal grandparents, David Lemule and Ella May Price.

David was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather and he will be missed but never forgotten for all the wonderful love, support, and strength that he gave all of us. We would also like to thank those friends that called and visited him during his illness and the Interim Hospice group for helping us to take care of him towards the end, it meant a lot to him.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, June 3, 2022, in the Zephyr Cemetery, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, from 4:00 until 6:00.
